person to knock on our door! Enter and be welcome! Sit down, relax, let me get you something to drink.NOTE: In the move to the new domain, Yahoo has totally fucked up and somehow lost or didn't transfer any of the files from the old site. I'm still trying to locate copies of the cat pictures here at home, but haven't had much luck. I'll keep trying though, as they were very important in 'people' in my life.
Here are some pictues of the cats. The 'girls' have, for the most part, been named after animals/characters from science fiction; well, not quite. Patches was named that way, because of the patches on her body and face. It was just that simple.

Patches and The Princess Prisicilla Penelope Peachfuzz relaxing on the bed. I didn't like the way the flash lit up their eyes, but Prissy just won't sit still for a picture!

Here's a shot of Prissy. Wish it was lighter/color corrected!

Patches just laying around
Sadly, I must announce that we lost Patches May 15, 2001. For no apparent reason, she went into convulsions and passed away. She will be sorely missed...

Pixel -- The Cat that Walks Through Walls. So named because when she was a kitten, she would just 'appear' out of nowhere, without having traveled the space in between (the idea is from Robert Heinlien's book of the same name - excepting the original Pixel was male). Sadly, we had her put to sleep November 25, 2002. She had been ill, and I couldn't let her suffer any longer. She now runs and plays with her friend, Patches, in the place where all good creatures go...
On another sad note; On March 24, 2003, Saavik passed away. It happened during the day, as I had been taken to the hospital with intense abdominal pains; possibly related to a hernia and DVT in the femoral vein I was suffering from. When we returned home, we found her in a favorite spot: on the end of the couch, under the 'day' lamp. She has now joined her sisters, Patches and Pixel, beyond the Rainbow Bridge, beyond the veil of this life, to await our coming, and to greet us with love when we, too, cross over. May God love, protect and cherish all the small creatures of this world, and we, ourselves, be deserving of the love they bring us.
This is the newest addition to our household, as of 4/03. We call her "Tipsy", as when she arrived at her new home she was still dopey from her spaying surgery, and walked around like she was drunk!

Saavik, the actual Queen of the House. Named for the Star Trek character, first portrayed by Kirste Alley in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn.
NOTE: still trying to find this picture!!
This is one of her hiding places: in the linen closet behind the towels.

While chasing her one of her toys, the orange puff-ball, she wrapped herself up in the doorway throw-rug!

Inside the cat tree.

And this is Pat, the love of my life.
